Customer Notice - Current Lead Times
We are currently experiencing an unprecedented demand for external doors. The factory and production team is currently working 24 hours a day 7 days a week to cope with demand, although lead times are extended to 6-8 weeks and continue to change on a weekly basis. Our sales, transport and service team are all receiving a high level of calls and will endeavour to assist and help you efficiently as possible.
Following the update from the Government on Saturday 31st October, we will continue to operate and remain open as part of the manufacturing and construction industry during a second National lockdown.
We are currently experiencing an unprecedented demand for external doors. The factory and production team is currently working 24 hours a day 7 days a week to cope with demand, although lead times are extended and continue to change on a weekly basis. Our sales, transport and service team are all receiving a high level of calls and will endeavour to assist and help you efficiently as possible.
Since the start of Covid-19, I am sure that you will appreciate that the safety of our staff and their families are paramount to us and we need to ensure that they are kept safe at all times. In addition to the temporary closure of our supply chain, this lead us to make the difficult decision to suspend all manufacturing and delivery operations on 25th March 2020.
Several weeks on and after careful consideration within the industry, our supply chain and customers. Production is planning to reopen with a 'phased' safe return of the production team as of Wednesday 20th May 2020. Measures and procedures have been put in place which will enable the factory with limited staff to follow and enforce strict guidelines outlined by the Government. Lead times will be extended but this will be reviewed on a weekly basis as more staff are integrated back into the factory over the coming weeks.
All sales and office staff continue to work remotely from home and you can place orders and request quotes as normal via the website, email or phone.
Orders that were placed prior to the factory shutdown on 25th March 2020 will be given priority and delivery dates will be confirmed from Thursday 20th May 2020. Any new orders received from 26th March onwards will be released into production and delivered on a first come first served basis. A delivery date for these orders will be confirmed in due course with expected lead times of 5-7 weeks as it currently stands.

GRP Composite Doors UK remains open for business with staff working remotely from home and any new orders and quotes received during the temporary closure period can still be processed as normal but with extended lead times. We anticipate a large volume of orders once the Government restrictions have been lifted and orders are currently being allocated on a 'first come, first delivered basis'. Following the temporary closure of our major suppliers of glass, door slabs and profile systems after the government's advice on Monday 23rd March 2020, we can no longer continue operating production or provide daily deliveries to our customers. Despite our best efforts to source materials to fulfil existing orders, it's just not been possible. The difficult decision has been made to temporarily close our premises as of 5.30 pm on Wednesday 25th March 2020 with all deliveries and collections postponed.
We understand this is very frustrating but the safety of our employees, their families and our customers is paramount and we appreciate your patience during this difficult time. We will review our position on a regular basis following the Governments advice and advise you immediately with any changes.
Please be assured though, no orders have been cancelled, only put on hold with a temporary delay. We will endeavour to fulfil all existing orders as soon as possible once the Government restrictions have been lifted and production recommences.
Customer service and distribution will be closed over this period so we're currently unable to process any replacement parts. Any queries should be directed to email@example.com. These will be dealt with upon return.
